BC Connex Participates in Asia Risk and Resilience Conference 2018

Held from 29th to 31st August 2018 at Hilton Singapore, Asia Risk and Resilience Conference 2018 kicked off successfully with the support of BC Connex and other supporting sponsors.

Participating as a Reception Sponsor, BC Connex continues to promote Business Resiliency through its software and services.

Re-branded from the 13-year Asia Business Continuity Conference (ABCC), Asia Risk & Resilience Conference (ARRC) is going strong and running for three years. The theme for ARRC 2018 is “Corporate Governance, Risk & Resilience; Planning in Action”, with the aim to bring previously discussed resilience plans in the past two-years conferences to life.

BC Connex is glad to be invited to participate as both an exhibitor and to speak in a plenary session conducted by our Business Development Director, Mr. Raymond Ee.

Secrets to Facilitating Impactful BC Exercises with Maximum Reach and Minimum Resources

Having an engaging facilitator and props to roll out an ezSimulation exercise can bring in additional immersive factor to a Business Continuity Exercise.

In one of the eight unique plenary sessions of ARRC 2018, Raymond explored the various challenges in conducting efficient and effective Business Continuity Exercises. The participants are then treated to a hands-on demonstration using ezSimulation to demonstrate how it could be used to overcome these challenges. It was a lively session, with participants enthusiastically taking part using their mobile phones and making crucial decisions during an active shooter scenario.

The session wrapped off with some insightful thoughts and clarifications from the participants. The top scoring participants who are prepared for an active shooter scenario received small prizes while the remaining participants gained awareness and knowledge on how they could prepare themselves for this scenario.

Participants getting an introduction to BC Connex and our products

Concurrent to the conference, ARRC 2018 also hosts a two-day exhibition which is open to both the participants and the public. BC Connex is heartened to see more people and organisations taking a great interest in Business Resiliency and taking steps to acquire more knowledge and skills to aid them. BC Connex was able to provide an introduction to the effective software and solutions that can help these organisations build and manage business continuity.

BC Connex would like to thank all who came to ARRC and visited our booth. We hope to see more new and returning faces in the many years to come.
